Session Entry in Showtime Manager

Any one language option

Unselected

The language in which the audio is played for a session.

If no language options are available or selected for a session, the session Audio Language defaults to the cinema site's Primary Language.

If Primary Language is not set in Sites, the session Audio Language defaults to the Film's Original Audio.

Any combination of language options

No subtitles

The subtitle languages available for a session.

If an Audio Language selected for a session is different to the Site's Primary Language, the subtitle language defaults to the Site's Primary Language, unless another subtitle language is chosen by the operator.

If subtitles for a particular session are not available, the field can be left blank or the No Subtitles option can be chosen.

Any configured Movie Format assigned to the selected Film

Select the Movie Format you would like to use for the created session(s).

For example: You may be creating session for 'Avatar', select whether the format is 2D, 3D or IMAX.

Any configured Price Card

Select the Price Card you wish to use for determining the price of tickets to the created session(s).

Any configured Attribute(s)

Select the Attributes that apply to the created session(s).

For example: Sessions for 'Avatar' may have the Attributes IMAX and 3D.

Any time value in minutes

The number of minutes of trailers and other pre-show material to be screened before the created session(s).

The amount of time allotted for cleaning the cinema at the end of the session(s).

Select the method of Seat Allocation you wish to use for the created session(s):

Automatic - tickets are automatically allocated to seats using an algorithm, allocating the best seats first.

Manual - the POS operator must assign seats to tickets at the time of purchase.

If the session is using a 35mm film print that is being interlocked from a projector in another screen, select the Master screen that it is coming from.

Re-sequence

Decrement

Allows you to select the type of sequence used in automatically generating show numbers for created sessions.

Manual - created shows will be assigned with show numbers ascending from the number entered in the Start Show Numbers From field.

Re-sequence - created shows will be assigned with show numbers ascending from the number entered in the Start Show Numbers From field, re-sequencing when the batch is extended for a screen that already has existing sessions scheduled.

Decrement - created shows will be assigned with show numbers descending from the number entered in the Start Show Numbers From field.

Once sessions have been inserted into Showtime Manager (click the Generate Sessions button), show numbers can be changed through a session's Change Session Properties window, or in Session maintenance.

Note: This field is only available if the system setting UseShowNumbers is set to Y(es), R(e-sequence), or D(ecrement).

Created sessions will be assigned show numbers starting at the entered number, based on the selected Show Numbering Method.

Enter the letter code for the Business Day(s) in the current week on which you wish to create the session(s).

You can enter either 12- or 24-hour times separated by a space:

For example: 10:00am 12:00pm 2:00pm, or 10:00 12:00 14:00.

Latest Start Time

Enter the earliest start time you are willing to have for sessions of the selected Film.

Enter the latest start time you are willing to have for sessions of the selected Film.

Using the Number of Shows, Snap To and Gap Between Sessions settings, Session Entry will automatically generate sessions between the Earliest and Last Start Times.

Times can be entered in either 12- or 24-hour time.

For example: 10:00am and 9:00pm, or 10:00 and 21:00.

Note: The following three settings, Number of Shows, Snap To, and Gap Between Sessions are only available if this option is selected.

Any number

The number of sessions you wish to create between the Start Times.

Any minute value

When automatically generating sessions between the Start Times, Session Entry will round the start times to the nearest minute value entered.

For example: If 5 is entered, a session generated as starting at 12:23 p.m. will be rounded to 12:25 p.m.

Any time value in minutes

When automatically generating sessions between the Start Times, Session Entry will leave a gap of the number of minutes specified between each session.

Displays the Start Date and End Date of the selected Film Booking, as configured in Film Programming.

This will only display the sessions for checking and review purposes. They will not yet be created in the main Showtime Manager application.
