POS Designer: General options

Enter a name

Enables you to name the POS Profile you are designing.

POS Profiles are identified by name when being assigned to a POS workstation.

Additional Notes

Use this area to enter any information that you wish to record about the POS Profile you are creating.

This information will only be visible when viewing this profile in POS Designer.

Status

Active

Inactive

To Be Deleted

The status determines if the POS Profile can be used in a production environment.

Inactive or To Be Deleted profiles can't be assigned to workstations.

Screen Size

Displays the screen resolution that was selected for your POS workstation monitors in Change Screen Size.

Force screen to this size

Select Force screen to this size to enforce changing the screen resolution of the POS workstation to the specifics determined in Change Screen Size as defined in your POS Profile.

Note: Vista recommends selecting this option if you have common monitors with the same screen resolution at POS workstations.

If you are unsure of the resolution of your POS workstation monitor/s, it is preferable to not select Force screen to this size as POS will automatically scale the POS Profile proportionately.

Change Screen Size

Enables you to select the appropriate screen resolution for displaying your POS Profile on a POS workstation monitor.

Restrict item search to profile

Select the Restrict Item Search to Profile setting when designing a POS Profile in POS Designer to restrict the Item search at POS to only search for Items contained within the POS Profile.
