Setting up workstations for printer routing

A Workstation can be configured to redirect items from their normal prepare area to another area.
When items requiring preparing are sold from the workstation, any items that would normally be sent to a specified Prepare Area are sent to the Redirect Prepare Area.

The Today Only option makes this method particularly useful for handling the temporary closure of Prepare Area.

For example: If it is a very quiet day, the Second Kitchen might be closed for the rest of the day, and everything is redirected to the First Kitchen.

1. On the Service Area tab in Workstation maintenance, select a Prepare Area.
2. Select the prepare area to Redirect items to.
3. (Optional) select Today Only.
4. Repeat steps 1–3 for any other Prepare Areas required.
