Prepare Slip printing can also be redirected based on Check IDs.
This can be useful if Check IDs correspond to table locations, and you want to redirect the prepare slips for some tables from their normal Prepare Area to another area.
- Open the Service Area record for the prepare area you wish to redirect: Maintenance > Service Areas.
- On the Redirect Checks tab, enter a Check ID range for the tabs you wish to redirect prepare slips for.
For example: Checks 7–12 correspond to tables 7–12 which normally have their food prepared in Kitchen 2.
- Select the area to Redirect to.
For example: If Kitchen 2 is closed during a quiet day, all food orders for Checks 7–12 can be redirected to Kitchen 1.
Warning! Redirecting based on checks is only supported for Check IDs that begin with a numeric character. If the Check ID begins with an alphabetic character, redirection will not function correctly.
