Sometimes distributors define a film's opening date, which doesn't coincide with the first day of your planning week. This requires a midweek open booking, which typically plays for only one or two days in its first week.
To create a midweek open:
- In Film Manager, in the Holdover, hover over the midweek-open booking and select Combine.
A window appears.
- In the header menu, change the mode from Combine bookings to Midweek opening.
- From the list, select the booking you want to replace with the midweek open.
Note: You can only choose one booking.
- Click Confirm.
The midweek open booking replaces the original booking in its slot. The original booking's end date changes to the day before the midweek open's start date. The new booking displays the midweek open icon.
Tip! You can also schedule midweek opens by clicking and dragging midweek open bookings onto regular bookings. If the midweek open booking's start date matches the regular booking's end date in the same slot, a linking bar will join the two. This means the midweek open film should replace the film it's linked to in the schedule onwards from its midweek opening date.
