In Cinema Manager or Head Office, you can use Available Hours to limit the days and times at which items can be sold.
These are created in the Available Hours form and can be attached to different records based on their type.
The following describes how available hours affect each item type in Vista Cloud.
Item Type | Behaviour |
Normal |
Sales channels will only sell these items between their available hours, and sale start and end dates. |
Component |
You can't set up available hours or sales start and end dates for this item type. |
Made at sale time (Recipe) |
To sell a recipe item, it must be within its available hours, sale start and end dates, and so must all of its ingredients. If an ingredient can't be sold, the recipe can't be sold either. |
Made in advance (Recipe) |
To sell a recipe item, it must be within its available hours, sale start and end dates, and so must all of its ingredients. If an ingredient can't be sold, the recipe can't be sold either. |
Weight based component |
You can't set up available hours, or sales start and end dates, for this item type. |
Parent Sales |
Sales channels will only sell parent sales items within their available hours, and sale start and end dates. The same rules apply to each of the item's options. Sales channels will not let patrons select options outside their available hours, or sale start and end dates. |
Modification Group |
You can't set up available hours or sales start and end dates for this item type. |
Item Package |
To sell an item package, it must be within its available hours, and sale start and end dates. Item packages override the available hours and sale start and end dates of the individual items within them. You can sell a package, even if you can't sell its individual items. |
