Supported browsers

We support the use of Vista Cloud on the following browsers:

• Chrome
• Firefox
• Microsoft Edge

Supported operating systems

Client

We support the following Windows operating systems:

• Windows 11
• Windows 10
  • Windows 10 loT LTSB (Minimum Version 1607)
  • Windows 10 loT LTSC

Unless noted, Vista does not support older versions of Windows operating systems that are unsupported by Microsoft.

Warning! Using an unsupported operating system will affect your ability to apply security patches, which is a requirement under PCI DSS. Your PCI compliance is likely to be affected if you run an unsupported operating system.

Embedded client

Embedded versions of client operating systems are generally supported. However, these embedded versions must be configured to include any Windows components required by the .NET framework, your hardware peripherals, and your payment system.

32- and 64-bit operating systems

We support both 32- and 64-bit operating systems. However, we recommend 64-bit for optimal performance.

Note: If your POS workstations are running an LTSB (long-term service branching) of Windows 10, you'll need a minimum version of 1607, as prior versions don't support .NET Framework 4.8, which is required for POS.

.NET Framework requirements

Note: Individual Vista applications have different .NET requirements and you may be required to install a later version. However, all required .NET versions will be compatible with the supported operating-system versions.

Network requirements

These are the network requirements for Vista Cloud:

• Commercial grade internet links, with minimum speeds of 10/10, and a 4G based backup line.
• Suitable hardware or devices for creating a VPN tunnel at each of your sites.
