Ticket discounting types (Cinema Manager > Maintenance) allow you to apply discounts to ticket types through their price cards. 

Some examples of when you might to do this:

• Staff discount on tickets
• Coupons from a special promotion in a newspaper
• Promotions for discounts on tickets when paying with a specific card type
• Special viewings, of particular films at particular times of day, for Senior Citizens

After you've set up a ticket discounting type, you'll need to apply the discount rate (% or amount) to each relevant ticket type in the relevant price cards.

Discounts on package tickets

There are only two discounts types available for package tickets: Percentage Discounts and Variable Percentages.

In POS, if you try to apply any other discount type to a package ticket, a message will appear and the ticket will be sold at the original price.
