Creating a standard pricing rule

Use standard pricing rules to create and maintain variable ticket pricing based on conditional adjustments to base prices.

Steps

1. In Vista Cloud, go to Head Office > Rules.
2. Click Create.
3. Name the pricing rule.

4. Add ticket types.

   Note: You can also add ticket packages here to set specific prices for combined tickets (for example, a family pass).

5. Add a Sales tax. 
6. Select a Booking fee.
7. Adjust ticket-type availability.

8. Set the base price for each ticket type.

   Tip: If you added a ticket package, set a base price for each ticket or item in the package. For example, a family pass might include two adults, one child, and a popcorn—each with it's own base price.

9. Add pricing adjustments as needed.

   Note: Pricing adjustments only affect ticket base prices. Items included in packages are not affected.

10. (Optional) Add cinema overrides to the base price or pricing adjustments if you want to use alternative pricing for selected cinemas or pricing groups (see Setting up a pricing group).
11. Click Save.

Once you set up your pricing rules, apply them to sessions in Showtime Manager.
